Languages
LLFPM affirms its cultural specificity and strengthens its outreach to the host country through an ambitious language policy:
Arabic Language
The school’s language program offers students high-quality instruction in Arabic, both as a mother tongue and as a foreign language. This course meets the curriculum requirements of the Emirati authorities, and aims to develop the four communication skills defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is also consistent with the French baccalaureate’s teaching of modern languages, which is assessed according to the same written and oral skills. Arabic is taught from the early years of school, allowing students to discover the culture and history of their host country.
French Language
French occupies a predominant place and is by no means limited to the language of schooling. Students are constantly exposed to French, which is the language of communication and learning in all activities and programs. French is the very vector of education, bringing science and the arts together and placing humanist values at the heart of innovation.
Modern languages
Students enrolled in Arabic as a foreign language have the option, from 7th grade, of taking Spanish courses during the 2022 – 2023 school year.
