“The future is not what’s going to happen, but what we’re going to do.”

- Henri Bergson

Dear Students, Dear Parents, Dear Colleagues,

Dear Students, Dear Parents, Dear Colleagues,

Every new school year is a promise: a new context, new learning opportunities and new challenges. It is also an opportunity to reaffirm what brings us together: to educate thoughtful, responsible young women and men who are aware of their role in shaping the world in which they will live tomorrow.

This year holds particular significance. In a unique context, Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé de Meydan is continuing its development within the Taaleem Group while preparing for major milestones: the follow-up visit for accreditation by the French Ministry of Education, KHDA quality assurance visits, and Taaleem’s continued ambition to establish LLFPM as a benchmark for French education in Dubai.

These milestones are not an end in themselves. They are an opportunity to measure the progress we have made, assess our achievements and reaffirm that excellence is built collectively, every day, in the service of every student.

Our ambition is clear:

To set high expectations to help every student succeed, to support them as they grow, and to innovate in order to prepare them for the future.

This ambition draws its strength from three distinct legacies.

We are a French school, committed to intellectual rigour, strong academic foundations, critical thinking and the transmission of culture. More than ever, French remains the living heart of our school. Reading, writing, expressing oneself clearly, debating respectfully and developing well-reasoned arguments are the foundations of every successful education.

We are also a Francophone Lebanese school, heir to a tradition of openness, humanism and humanity. In a world that is often fragmented, we are committed to preserving what defines our identity: solidarity, a strong sense of community, a love of culture and genuine care for each individual. A great school is measured not only by its results, but also by the quality of the relationships it fosters.

Finally, we operate at the heart of Dubai, a city driven by innovation and ambitious growth. Its dynamism encourages us to continuously evolve our practices, to embrace new technologies thoughtfully, particularly artificial intelligence, and to prepare our students for the challenges of a constantly changing world.

These three legacies do not compete with one another. They complement each other and shape the unique identity of LLFPM.

This year, our work will be guided by several key priorities:

  • Strengthening academic excellence;
  • Making French and reading a priority;
  • Developing multilingualism and cultural awareness;
  • Encouraging educational innovation;
  • Strengthening inclusion;
  • Promoting the well-being of both staff and students;
  • Making assessment a genuine driver of progress

These ambitions require the commitment of everyone.

To our teachers, I would like to express my trust and gratitude. Your expertise, dedication and creativity are the

driving forces behind our students’ success. Let us continue to learn together and nurture a truly collaborative professional community.

To our students, I would like to remind you that success can never be reduced to a grade. It is built every day through hard work, curiosity, perseverance and respect for others. Dare to read, question, improvise, create, take initiative and become informed, engaged citizens.

To our parents, I would like to reiterate how much we value your trust. Education is a shared endeavour, founded on mutual respect for each person’s role, trust and constructive dialogue. Together, we will support every child in their personal growth and academic success.

Our ambition goes beyond academic results alone. We want to educate young people who are able to combine knowledge with discernment, effort with achievement, and humanity with an openness to the world.

Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé de Meydan is committed to offering every student the best of three worlds:

The high standards of French education, the warmth of the Lebanese spirit, and the visionary ambition of Dubai.

I wish each and every one of you a school year filled with learning, commitment, achievement and shared moments of joy.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the 2026–2027 school year!
